About Me

me_educatedGreetings, my name is Dan Thompson, I’m 23 (at the time of writing!) and I live on a farm in the North of England.

I started my very first online venture back in 1998 when I was 13. I created a website using just HTML code and used it to sell old wrestling videos (WWF, WCW, etc.) to friends and schoolmates. I continued with this venture up until the age of 16, when it was time to “get serious” and go to college where I would study for an AVCE, and an HND in Business Information Technology.

Fast forward 4 years to the end of college and it was time to get a “real” job. In the summer of 2005, my job hunting wasn’t going to plan. All of the jobs that would meet my criteria were either in Leeds or Manchester, which would mean a 2 hour commute each day. Being a country boy this was about as appealing to me as…..a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! (I lose 1 point for using the phrase twice on the same page)

So I started to do what I think pretty much all of you must have done at some point, I started looking for opportunities to start an online business. I stumbled across a very popular “Your Own eBook Business” on eBay, created by the then unknown John Thornhill. I purchased the package and the rest is history as they say! (Click here for a $100 discount!)

Since those humble beginnings I now run over 25 websites catering to both online, and offline clients. I have a couple of my own software products on sale, and I run a very successful web hosting company with my business partner that is responsible for hosting over 2,500 domain names for clients from across the globe.

I also write a very popular Internet Marketing blog, know as the “El Passo Blog“.

It has been up and running for over 2 years now, and because I have many other irons in the fire, I don’t need to use my mailing list/blog as a “pitch machine”. So you WON’T be receiving an email from me every other day plugging the latest and greatest product, infact I do sometimes go months at a time without pitching a product.

I prefer to send out a mailing every week or two that contains a link to my latest blog posting. These posts usually contain useful “How To Guides” or my thoughts on random Internet Marketing topics. Everything is very light hearted and I have my own little community of readers that comment on the posts and share ideas and views on the subjects.

If you want to check out the latest blog post, and join the community of commentors you can check out the home page here:

http://www.elpassoblog.com

And I think that brings to an end this introduction. I hope you enjoyed reading it, and fingers crossed you’ll become a keen reader, and commentor on my blog.

Cheers,
Dan Thompson

P.S. If you have any questions about this Resell Rights Fortune review, or any of my other products or websites. Feel free to get in touch with me via the helpdesk:

You can also email me, but I do seem to get more Viagra emails than Hugh Hefner so it’s probably best to use the helpdesk!

    Hi Dan,

Nice looking blog post. Jes never realised you were so young and yet achieved so much! Well done that man :-) I have kids nearly the same age! I work in computers, self employed and got John Thornhill’s course too. At the stage I’m at now I have this Ireland Travel Guide, with my business partner and am trying to help promote it and get better sales. Any suggestions on Internet Marketing that would help?

    Cheers,
    Marcus

    Thanks Marcus :-)

If you are after feedback on your Ireland site, then my advice (for what it’s worth!) would be to re-work the design. When I 1st go to the page it just looks a bit dull, and there’s nothing really there that wants me to read on and see what it’s about.

I think if you made it more appealing to the eye, you’d get more interest in the site, just had a quick look on Google and this sort of thing is a lot better:

    http://www.tourismireland.com/

Your tagline could be: Enjoy FREE Admissions To Irelands Top Tourist Attractions

Then under that you could have some top quality high res images of the different attractions going along in a slideshow, then under that, or on another page you can give them more info.

I think something like that would hook them in a lot better than what you have now.

    Cheers,
    Dan
